In September of 2023, the Holy Spirit began to fall on Maria Adkins in a profound way. On the back of several years of encounters with the Spirit of Jesus, she began regularly experiencing what some theologians refer to as ‘ecstatic prophecy.’

’Ecstatic’ comes from the Greek word ‘ecstasis,’ meaning “to stand outside one’s self.” In the Bible when the Holy Spirit rushed upon prophets, there were times they’d be caught up “in the Spirit” in such a way that He spoke more directly through them and their voice and body. For Maria personally, as the Holy Spirit falls upon her, He moves her hands with a type of heavenly sign language, and then speaks out of her mouth in the first Person. Often this is in tongues, followed by English. Other times, it’s just English. In every case, He exalts Jesus, proclaims “Jesus is Lord,” and admonishes us to repentance and holiness. Her husband, Josh, often transcribes the words spoken through Maria during these encounters.
