Statement of Faith

We believe the entire Bible to be the inspired, unbreakable Word of God, the revelation of God’s will for man and the divine and final authority for the Christian life.

John 10:35; 2 Tim 3:16-17

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things, who is revealed in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Deut 6:4; John 15:26

We acknowledge Jesus as fully God and fully man — conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified, and resurrected — our High Priest and Advocate now seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Matt 1:18; Hebrews 12:2

We believe in having a personal relationship with Jesus by repenting of sin, acknowledging Christ’s resurrection and Lordship, and inviting Him to make us new. This salvation forgives sins through the shed blood of Jesus, acknowledging every person’s need for the grace and mercy of God. We all have sinned. We all need Jesus.

Rom 3:23-24; Eph 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 John 1:9

We believe that there is a heaven and a hell. We believe in an invisible, yet powerful kingdom of God near through the Holy Spirit.  There is only one way to receive this kingdom now and forever, and that is by repenting of sin and receiving Jesus as Lord through faith. By this, we are born-again.

Rom 10:9-10; Acts 2:38, John 14:1-3; 1 John 5:11; Rev 20:15

We baptize in water all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and who desire to publicly identify with Him, in accordance with the Bible’s command. We believe baptism is not merely an outward symbol of spiritual death, but a key component of God’s sanctifying process. His resurrection Presence often meets those who participate in the water.

Matt 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Rom 6:4

We believe in the supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ and to equip every believer for godly living and service. This same Spirit marks His sent ones and imparts His power for the works to which He has called them. This can occur through God’s sovereign visitation or the laying on of hands of the apostles and/or divinely ordained leaders.

John 16:13-14; 1 Cor 12:1-11; Rom 1:11; Acts 8:14-17, 13:2-3

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise from God for every believer and is for today. Speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, is often a physical indication of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. However, the ultimate fruit is power.

Matt 3:11; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 38-39, 19:4-6

We receive Communion to remember Jesus’ sacrifice when He died on the Cross and to celebrate His resurrection power.  We believe communion is a holy practice that can embody the supernatural Presence of Jesus’ Spirit, even resulting in further spiritual transformation and healing.

Luke 22:19-20; 1 Cor 11:23-26; 2 Cor 3:18

We believe Jesus is coming back and that His appearance will be accompanied by a bodily resurrection of those who have died in Christ.

Matt 24:29-31; 1 Thess 4:13-18

We believe that Jesus is the Healer and that physical healing and demonic deliverance is for today.

Isaiah 53:5; Matt 8:16-17, 10:7-8; James 5:14-15; 1 Peter 2:24

We believe in the power and effectiveness of prayer and intercession.

Phil 4:6-7; 1 Tim 2:1-2; James 5:15-16

We believe God has a hope, future and unique purpose for each person.

Jer 29:11; Matt 5:16, 25:40; Rom 8:28, 15:13
