THE ROOTS HAVE NOT BEEN SCORCHED

During a recent Wild & Holy gathering, the Holy Spirit began to move in ecstatic prophecy.

I first went into a vision of the earth burned and decimated by fire. Buildings and trees alike were completely wiped out. I knew what had been visibly growing and built above ground was completely destroyed by the fire. There were no signs of life, just the rubble and ashes of what had been.

Then, the Lord showed me what was beneath the ground. I saw healthy, deep roots of a tree, still very much alive. He spoke, “The roots have not been scorched by the fire!” The roots were growing downward even deeper as they were drinking from the water in the earth.

Then the Lord took me forward in time and I saw the same trees that had been burnt down were maturely grown once again bearing great fruit.

Then the Lord began to speak, that though what was grown and built above ground appears to be lost, what has been planted beneath the surface is not dead but very much alive.

He spoke that the fires have and will continue to purify the landscape of the church. In order to establish the new, He must purge the old. Now, as the roots bring forth fresh growth what will emerge will be even stronger and carry more purity.

Perhaps you have felt the heat of this refining fire this past season. Perhaps what you were once visibly building and bearing has been stripped away. The Lord wants to encourage you that this has caused your roots in Him to grow even deeper. You have allowed Him to be your life source in hiddenness and as a result resurrection is coming.

The blueprints of what was consumed in the fire has not been lost because it is embedded in your rooted foundation in Christ. What He brings forth from your life is not starting over but is founded in the depth of intimacy you have in Him. You will begin to emerge from the ground again and will bear even more fruit. What emerges in this next season may start small but will carry longevity, weight, and purity because of your rooted and tested foundation.

For many your established roots have been transitioned to new ground because the church and region needs the DNA you’re carrying. Be encouraged and expectant, it’s time to emerge from the ground again. Prepare for new growth and resurrection life!
